Tunisia: Conect seeks to boost Tunisian-Turkish relations

The cooperation program between Tunisia and Turkey, the areas of intervention and the contribution of the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises “Conect” to the realization of this program and the development of economic relations between the two countries were discussed at a meeting between Conect and a delegation of Turkish officials and experts.

Five main areas of cooperation were discussed, including employment and training, the system of investment incentives, regional development, interregional cooperation and decentralization and the role of NGOs and civil society in the development of the culture of democracy.

Conect, which has started since its inception in 2011, its international program through various partnership actions with Turkey, is linked by a cooperation agreement with the main Turkish employers’ organization, TUSKON.

As such, it intends to assume a dynamic role of relay, information and awareness in the consolidation and promotion of relations of cooperation and partnership between companies from both countries.

It is important to remember that the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency “TIKA” has just opened an office in Tunis.
