Tunisia’s consumer price index (CPI) posted a slight increase of 0.3% during the month of June 2013, compared to May 2013, according to the latest figures published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

This increase is due mainly to the rise in prices of the transport group (0.5%) due to higher car prices (+1.3%).

Price increases also involve “clothing and footwear” (+0.9%) due to higher prices of summer clothes (1%) and footwear (0.9%).
