The Department of Health announced on Friday evening the detection of four more Coronavirus contaminations, bringing the number of people infected with the virus to 998 confirmed cases.
As of April 30, 569 tests have been performed, 90 of which were carried out as part of the follow-up of patients affected by the virus, bringing the total number of tests performed to 23,526, said a press release from the Ministry.
27 cases tested positive for COVID-19, including 19 previous cases still carrying the virus and 4 more cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 998.
This assessment shows 316 people on the way to recovery, 41 deaths and 641 people still carrying the virus.
On another level, the press release states that 24 infected persons are being placed in intensive care units.
The number of patients currently hospitalised is estimated at 65.
Concerning deaths, the statement said that no new deaths have occurred.
