Tunisia: Cruise passengers return to Djerba-Zarzis

As part of a cruise aboard the German ship “Albatros Nassau,” 750 tourists, 95 pc of whom Germans, arrived, Friday, in the tourist area Djerba / Zarzis, from the port of La Goulette on their road to Malta.

Visitors have appreciated the warm welcome, saying they were happy to discover the beauty of places and visit post-Revolution Tunisia, after “successful elections which represent a model to follow,” TAP reported.

The mooring of the ship represents, for the port director, Mohamed Tahar Kristou, an opportunity to demonstrate the technical capabilities of the port that can accommodate this class of ships and logistics for those activities that were interrupted in 2006.

500 of these tourists made a tourist trip aboard nine buses that were waiting to take them to the island of Djerba, with visits to the Museum of Guellala, Erriadh district which houses the Jewish synagogue as well as downtown Houmet Souk, while 250 others have preferred to stay in the city of Zarzis to learn about its tourism landscape.
