According to estimates of the regional commissioner of agricultural development in Tozeur, the date harvest is expected to reach 50,000 tons, including 33,000 tonnes of Deglet Tozeur.
This is explained by the start of production of new varieties, as well as suitable weather conditions.
With this figure, the harvest season whose launch is scheduled for late October seems promising with a 5% increase in the volume of production and 40% rise in sale prices.
