Tunisia: decline in number of tourists staying in Sousse hotels

The number of tourists staying in Sousse Kantaoui hotels has declined since June 26, 2015 terrorist attack on a hotel in the area, said regional commissioner for tourism in Sousse, Saloua Kaderi in a statement reported by Shems Fm.

“Tourists staying in hotels in Sousse, who were around 12 thousand from different nationalities, decreased to 6,000 tourists after last Friday’s terrorist attack,” the same source said on the sidelines of a meeting organized Monday by the Tunisian Federation of Travel and tourism agencies (FTAV).
