Tunisia: Dinar exchange rate depreciates by 2.8% against euro in 2021

The exchange rate of the dinar appreciated by 0.3% against the euro and depreciated by 1.1% against the U.S. dollar last December, compared to the averages of November 2021, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

In annual averages, the exchange rate of the dinar depreciated against the euro by 2.8% in 2021, after an appreciation of 2.5% a year earlier.

Against the US dollar, the appreciation of the exchange rate of the dinar continued in 2021, although at a slower pace, or 0.6% after 4.5% in 2020.

As of January 10, 2022, the euro traded on the interbank market against 3.282 dinars while the dollar was worth 2.892 dinars.
