The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to make its initial contribution to Themar, announced the CEO of the Fund of Consignment and Deposits Jamel Belhaj.
Themar, a Sharia compliant subsidiary of the Fund, provides financial support to the SME sector in Tunisia.
TAP news agency indicates that, following a meeting with the Vice-President of the EIB for Innovation, Philippe de Fontaine Vive, Jamel Belhaj said: “We have given the EIB officials a copy of the Themar founding documents and they will review the documents before deciding on funding projects of Themar. »
Belhaj said the EIB should establish a direct partnership with Themar to consolidate projects that suffer from a lack of funding.
