Tunisia: ELLOUMI Group invests in a new plant in Tangier Automotive City

As part of its expansion strategy in Morocco, the Tunisian ELLOUMI Group is planning to set up a new industrial unit in the Kingdom.

Already present in two zones in Morocco – the Atlantic Free Zone in Kenitra and the Tangiers Free Export Zone – the group has chosen the Tangiers Automotive City industrial acceleration zone as its new location.

Launched in 2013, this zone ensures deliveries by truck to Northern Europe in less than 48 hours and is strategically located close to the motorway infrastructure and expressways linking it to the urban centers of Tangier and other cities in the Kingdom.

As part of this expansion project, the ELLOUMI Group plans to invest an initial $2.7 million (27 million dirhams) in the capital of its Moroccan subsidiary, COFICAB Morocco.

COFICAB is a world leader in the design, manufacture and sale of wires and cables, mainly for the automotive industry.

The COFICAB Group is present in 4 continents, 14 countries, 17 state-of-the-art manufacturing sites, 3 R&D centers of excellence and 14 sales offices worldwide. With advanced commercial capabilities and a team of 8,500 employees, the Group supplies major players in the automotive industry.
