Fitch Ratings has raised the national rating of Enda Tamweel from “BBB” to “A,” assigning it a stable outlook.
In its report published on December 18, 2025, the agency emphasizes that this rating reflects Enda Tamweel’s solidity, its autonomy, and a well-established market position as the leading microfinance institution in Tunisia.
Despite a difficult economic climate, Fitch Ratings states that Enda Tamweel maintains strong asset quality and profitability, enabling it to retain its leading position in the microfinance market.
The rating agency also indicates that the institution’s capitalization levels remain robust.
Thus, Fitch Ratings concludes that Enda Tamweel is a central player in the country’s economic and social development due to the active role it plays in the financial and economic inclusion of populations excluded from the financial market and in the promotion of self-entrepreneurship.
The institution integrates the challenges of women’s empowerment, youth leadership, and the promotion of sustainable development into its strategy.
It relies on the diversity and flexibility of the services it offers to reach all social strata.
