Tunisia: foreign investment nears 1 billion dinars in H1

The flow of foreign investment reached 996.9 million dinars in the first half of 2017, up 4.8% from the same period in 2016, announced the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA).

This amount is divided up into 944.8 million dinars for foreign direct investment (FDI) and 52.1 million in portfolio.

The energy sector takes the lion’s share with investments estimated at 495.1 million dinars (-2%), followed by the industry sector with 371.5 million dinars (+ 14.2%).

At the bottom of the table, the agriculture sector has attracted foreign investment of only 2.5 million dinars, down 30.6% from the end of June 2016.
