Tunisia: French companies represent 150,000 jobs (ambassador)

French investors contributed to the creation of over two thousand new jobs in the past year, said French Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Guéguen pointing out that French companies in Tunisia currently employ more than 150,000 people.

The ambassador took part on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the inauguration ceremony of the expansion of the production unit of CMR Tunisia, located in the El Mghira industrial zone in Fouchana, specialized in manufacturing electrical cables, particularly for ship machinery and engines.

On this occasion, the diplomat told Mosaïque FM that this investment is creating new jobs in Tunisia, especially in the governorate of Ben Arous.

She added that it contributes to strengthening a high-level industrial sector that is rapidly growing, while also boosting Tunisian exports to France and the United States.

Anne Guéguen stressed that French investments hold a leading position in Tunisia, representing more than one-third of foreign investments and generating a significant number of jobs.
