Obstacles impeding the construction of the solar power plant called “Tozeur II” have been completely removed and the contract should be signed within a week, STEG’s CEO, Moncef Harrabi, told Africanmanager.
The CEO of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company also confirmed that the 28-MD contract will be signed with GenSun Company.
The project, with a capacity of 10 MWp and financed by KfW, which is the German Development Bank, had some problems, relating to a remedy by a competitor who had been excluded from the procurement for lack of tender document in the file presented to the Higher Commission of Public Procurement.
In any case, the High Authority for the Review of Public Procurement definitely resolved the issue and the contract was officially attributed to GenSun.
