Tunisia: Government promises 100,000 jobs by end of 2012

The Tunisian Government aims to create 100,000 employment positions at the end of the year, announced Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Abdelwahab Maatar, during a ceremony held Sunday in Sfax.

Quoted by MosaiqueFm private radio station, he added that the number of job positions, created to June 2012 amounted to 61,000 positions. 31,000 more will be created in the coming months, through staffing competitions in the public service in addition to jobs created in the private sector.
