Tunisia: Hannibal Lease increases net leasing income by 58% in Q1

The leasing company Hannibal Lease has published its activity indicators as at March 31? 2020.

These indicators show a slight decline of 2.1% in the number of start-ups during the first quarter compared with the same period in 2019.

Nevertheless, the company posted a strong growth of +57.9% in Net Leasing Income to 3.2 million dinars, compared to 2 million dinars for the first quarter 2019.

The company had filed, on March 27, 2020, a request for approval from the Central Bank of Tunisia for the transformation of the establishment into a Digital Bank.

Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 health crisis, the facility activated its Business Continuity Plan and opted for a downgraded mode of operation.

The institution has mobilized the necessary resources to support its customers impacted by the crisis and the implementation of the provisions of the circular of the Central Bank of Tunisia 2020-06.
