Olive oil production will drop by 65% during the 2013/2014 season, compared to the 2012/2013 season, to stand between 70 and 80 thousand tons against 220,000 tons during the last season, according to estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Ministry explained that regression by the rainfall deficit recorded during the 2012/2013 season, which damaged trees and impacted the volume of its production for the next season.
