Elyes Fakhfakh, outgoing Minister of Tourism confirmed, Monday to radio station Express FM, the creation in the next few weeks of a company specializing in the management of assets of indebted hotels.
He added that the creation of this public company was recommended by a study conducted by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) and the World Bank.
The Minister emphasized the challenge for the country to find a definitive solution to excessive debt of hoteliers and noted that it would be ideal for hoteliers to open the capital of their companies to new local and foreign partners.
