The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Friday approved funds totalling US$ 104.8 million (about 193.5 million Tunisian dinars) for Tunisia, making it the fifth such approval for the north African country, according to an IMF official statement.
Altogether, the five approvals total US$ 1.15 billion granted to Tunisia since June 2013, it said in the statement.
The IMF said the latest approval followed the completion of the fifth review of Tunisia’s performance under a two-year programme designed to strengthen the budgetary margins and limit the country’s financial deficit by the end of December 2014.
