It is official; the International Monetary Fund (IMF) management has authorized its mission to go to Tunisia, for a new Review from August 15 to August 31, 2018.
This new mission will aim at starting the discussions relating to the fourth Review of the program supported by the Extended Fund Facility.
According to senior officials contacted by African Manager, this review will likely be successful since the five quantitative criteria are for the second consecutive time met.
The only problem, always according to our sources, is the energy bill. The success of this review should in principle and except for complications allow the disbursement of the fifth tranche of the program after the IMF Board’s meeting which will probably be held on September 28, 2018
