Tunisia: inflation rate will fall to 5.8% in October

The inflation rate will drop to 5.8% during the month of October this year, against 6% for the month of September, said Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Chedly Ayari at a plenary session of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) held Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

Ayari noted that the capacity of the BCT to fight against the scourge of inflation is limited, mainly for political reasons.

Note that the inflation rate has dropped to 6% at the end of August 2013 compared to 6.2% in July.
