Investments reported in the industrial sector reached 1,181.6 MTD in the first 5 months of the current year against 1,249.1 MTD in the same period in 2014, posting a decrease of 5.4%. This is what emerges from the latest figures from the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) recently made public.
As for the number of reported projects, they reached 1,584 in 2015 against 1,739 in 2014, down 8.9%. These projects will create 23,357 job positions, against 24,304 job positions in 2014, down 3.9%.
Furthermore, and during the month of May 2015, reported investment in the industrial sector reached 182.7 MTD against 250.1 MTD in May 2014, posting a decline of 26.9%.
The number of reported projects reached 262 during the month of May 2015 against 366 in May 2014.
