The Investment Code, which is currently subject to review by Habib Essid’s Government, will be ready in the next three months, announced Wednesday, Mohamed Salah Arfaoui, Minister of Public Works, Housing and Spatial Development.
Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Iraqi men business currently visiting Tunisia, the Minister said the revised code will consider all regulatory and safety aspects and give “all benefits and support to investors in Tunisia. ”
The previous government of Mehdi Jomaa withdrew the draft Investment Code from the National Constituent Assembly because of certain faults and imperfections.
Local and foreign investors and donors have recommended to the Tunisian authorities to hasten the adoption of this code to boost investment in the country.
