Tunisia: Iran allocates 100 million Euros to Iranian investors in Tunisia

“Iran has allocated a credit line worth 100 million Euros to Iranian investors in Tunisia”, the Ministry of Trade announced in a statement released Tuesday, at the end of a meeting held Monday between Trade and Handicrafts Minister Bechir Zaafouri and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.

“The decision aims to encourage Iranian investors to set up partnership and development projects in Tunisia in such promising sectors as phosphates, car parts and oil.”

Iran’s FM expressed his country’s will to support Tunisia’s economy and contribute to the success of its transitional stage, through increasing trade exchanges.

Zaafouri stressed for his part Tunisia’s commitment to strengthen its economic and trade relations with Arab and Muslim countries, highlighting the huge potentialities of cooperation prospects with Iran in matters of increasing trade exchanges, investments and partnership projects in the business sector.
