Tunisia and Italy are preparing an agreement that will allow hiring 4,000 Tunisian workers to work in Italy after training in Tunisia, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced after his meeting with his counterpart Nabil Ammar in Rome.
Tajani added that Tunisia is the only country to benefit from this measure, known as the “decreto flussi”, which regulates the recruitment of foreign workers in Italy. Those concerned will be invited to register as soon as the government publishes the notices.
The Italian minister said that his country was working with Tunisia on legal migration, while continuing to carry out expulsions.
