Adviser to the Minister of Tourism Seif Chaâlani announced, in a statement to AfricanManager Monday, the upcoming launch of the new luxury hotel project steered by Qatari Diar in southwestern Tunisia.
He said the official opening of the project, which is run by the Thai hotel group Minor Hotel Group (MHG), is scheduled for 2018.
Hotel group MHG, a hotel owner, operator and investor, currently owns a portfolio of 126 hotels and resorts in 22 countries in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe, in South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean, announced in 2015 that it had entered into a partnership with Qatari Diar to launch two new Anantara sites in North Africa.
These include Anantara Resort Tozeur, a new luxury hotel project initiated by Qatari Diar in southwestern Tunisia, in the city of Tozeur.
This new unit will offer 93 luxurious rooms and villas, including pool villas, a selection of restaurants and bars, meeting and business rooms, kids ‘and teens’ clubs, a health club and Anantara thalassotherapy station.
