Tunisia: Creova partners with Carrefour to extend mobile money ecosystem

Creova, a leader in developing Mobile Money solutions, has announced a partnership with Carrefour Tunisia for its Mobile Money initiative in the Tunisian market.

The new partnership with Carrefour, one of the largest retailers in the world, will help boost adoption of mobile payment services. This is a step forward in the development of a mobile money ecosystem, which includes the mdinar in Tunisia.

This Creova technology allows Carrefour retail outlets to offer mobile transactions that include recharge (also known as top-up) services and other services to be added gradually.

This is a long term partnership that will have multiple deployment phases with different objectives, targeting mobile services.

As a leader in the retail space, Carrefour is continuously looking for innovative solutions and especially related to mobile phone services and distribution of products through its stores.

“The mobile services market is growing and being the leader is important. Carrefour Tunisia is offering ‘Electronic Mobile Topup’ solutions at its cashiers, thanks to the Creova technology and will gradually add new services,” said Cherif Karoui, GM of Carrefour Tunisia.
