Tunisia has recorded a growth rate of 3% during the first 9 months of 2012, Ridha Saidi, Minister Responsible for Economic Issues told TAP news agency on Saturday.
He also indicated that the rate of growth during the third quarter of 2012 is estimated at 2.6%. The minister stressed that these rates are provisional until publication of the final results by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The Minister explained this growth by the 4% increase in agriculture and the 4.5% rise in the services sector.
In contrast, Saidi emphasized the significant regression recorded by the sectors of mechanical and electrical industries, textile and clothing and leather and footwear Industry.
