Tunisia: Smart Host and Chifco presented to PM

Two startups of Microsoft annual sponsorship Startups were selected to be displayed in the Microsoft stand at the first edition of Enersol WSEF-2012, in the innovation space at the Exhibitions Park in Kram held from November 14 to 16 November, 2012.

Mohamed Bridaa, CEO of Microsoft Tunisia, accompanied the two young companies to present their solutions and innovations during the visit of Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali and Minister of Industry Mohamed Lamine Chakhari.

Walid Khodja, DGA of Smart Host, stated that “presented as the 21st century computing solution, cloud computing is already part of the strategic vision of several European countries including England and France, which expect, by adopting Cloud Computing, to save by 2020 more than one million tons of carbon, equivalent to more than 600,000 cars and more than 800 million Euros. Smart Host fits into this framework and plans to benefit Tunisian companies of this technology through innovative solutions around the automation of the selling process or of unified communications.”

As to Chifco, it has Smart Grid solutions that control and regulate energy consumption in homes and other high energy consuming places. Amine Chouaieb, DG of Chifco noted that “The ultimate goal of our box is to reduce energy costs through improved energy efficiency and adequate control thanks to energy consumption in correlation with key performance indicators (production, weather…) hosted in the Cloud.”
