The number of beneficiaries of the “Amal” program established by the Government of Beji Caid Essebsi is 170,000.
This program provides a monthly allowance of 200 dinars for each unemployed graduate.
The bill for this program amounts to about 450 million dinars. The number of unemployed who have benefited from this program has so far exceeded 170,000 people, or about 173,171 people exactly.
The geographical distribution of beneficiaries highlights many disparities. In the Northwest region, the number is around 20,409 job seekers, i.e. 11.8% of the total number of beneficiaries.
These young recipients are as follows: 4,572 beneficiaries from the governorate of Beja thereby representing 22.4% of the Northwestern Region, 7,431 from Jendouba, 4,788 from Kef and 3,618 from Siliana.
