The combined cycle power plant of Rades was activated this Tuesday, July 30, 2019. It is the unit that has the highest yield in Tunisia (450MW); it will meet nearly 10% of the national demand for electricity.
The plant was built thanks to the technical and financial assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The work lasted five years and the cost of the project is estimated at 830 million dinars.
