Tunisia: Multi-sector business mission to Cameroon October 8-14

The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC), in partnership with the Tunisian Embassy in Yaoundé, is organizing a multi-sector business mission to Cameroon from October 8 to 14, 2023.

The mission is also being organized in close collaboration with the Groupement Inter-patronal du Cameroun (GICAM), the Cameroon Investment Promotion Agency (A.P.I) and the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (CCIMA) as part of the launch of its 2023 program, according to a TABC press release.

The mission, led by TABC Chairman Anis Jaziri and accompanied by some twenty Tunisian companies from various sectors, visited Douala and Yaoundé for BtoB, BtoG and institutional meetings, including the Tunisia-Cameroon Business Forum.

It was attended by Cameroon’s Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Atangana Mbarga, Tunisia’s Ambassador to Cameroon, Karim Ben Becher, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency and representatives of GICAM and CCIMA, as well as around one hundred Cameroonian business leaders.

The aim of the mission is to identify opportunities for Tunisian products and services on the Cameroonian market and to establish business contacts with professionals and various economic operators in Cameroon with a view to strengthening and diversifying partnerships, investments and exports on this market.

Cameroon was chosen for this mission because it is considered a hub for Central Africa and the country’s economy has the potential to become one of the most prosperous and best placed countries for foreign direct investment in Africa.

The country has abundant natural resources (agriculture, oil and mining), a diversified economy, numerous infrastructure modernization projects underway and monetary stability thanks to its membership of the CFA franc zone.
