Tunisia-oil: production of Sabria field increases 11%

The average production of oil company Serinus Energy was approximately 4,078 barrels / day in the third quarter 2015 or an increase of 2% compared to the 3,993 boe / day in the second quarter.

The main cause of the increase was the resumption of production in Sabria field in Tunisia after being closed due to protests from late May to late July. The average production for the month of October to date was 3,795 boe / day.

Production under the direct participation of the company during the third quarter was 1,343 barrels / day, up 11% compared to the second quarter, primarily due to the resumption of activity in the Sabria field, and the resolution of operational problems with STEG (the national gas distribution and transmission company) caused by high temperatures in late June that limited gas sales from Chouech Es Saida.

Production for the month of October to date has averaged 1,120 boe / day. The WIN-12bis well, which produced over 1,000 boe / day, is currently closed for repairs.

Serinus reports that, due to the current prices of oil products, no additional drilling is planned for 2015.
