According to forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture, the production of olive oil would be between 265,000 and 285,000 tons during the 2014-2015 season, which represents a surge of 300% over the 2013-2014 season.
The ministry said the weather conditions have largely contributed to the improved olive production.
