Norwegian oil company Panoro Energy ASA announced in a press release Saturday it has acquired a secure platform to drill a well on the Guebiba field, in the locality of El Hajeb (governorate of Sfax).
The project will be followed by the achievement of an exploration well on West Salloum (governorate of Sfax), the press release adds.
“Given the recent easing of certain conditions, we are taking other measures to revive well activity in Tunisia,” says in this context, John Hamilton, CEO of Panoro.
Regarding its activities in Tunisia, the company announces a 15% increase in gross production, compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, to approximately 4,000 barrels per day of oil in the current quarter, with a further increase expected in the third quarter of 2020.
