The Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Mineral Waters Office, has overseen a field study aimed at enhancing the development of Korbous and creating jobs, said regional tourism delegate for Tunis-South, Korbous and Zaghouan, Salah Kacem.
According to him, the study resulted in several proposals, including the construction of a marina, the development of a model tourist village based on eco-tourism principles and the creation of a health trail as part of a new eco-friendly tourism offering.
He noted that these ideas build on Korbous’s natural assets, including seven thermal springs and attractive landscapes capable of drawing both local and international tourists.
He added that the eco health trail project could be launched in the short term through stakeholder mobilization, while the marina and tourist village are part of longer-term plans by the Ministry, alongside other initiatives already promoted by travel agencies.
He also confirmed that preparations for the upcoming tourist season are progressing well, expressing hope for record results driven by improved service quality and a better visitor experience.
