Member of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP), Youssef Toumi, unveiled the details of draft law no. 87 on the criminalization of littering in public places, submitted by 17 deputies since July 10, 2025, according to Mosaique FM.
In his intervention on that radio on August 18, 2025, he specified that the proposal has a deterrent character: its objective is not only to impose financial fines, but above all to protect the environment and public health, by prohibiting the dumping of waste of any kind on public roads, in squares and collective spaces, while promoting a genuine culture of ecological citizenship.
The text provides for the prohibition of throwing or abandoning household, industrial, commercial, agricultural, electronic, construction, liquid, or solid waste outside authorized areas.
