Tunisia raises fuel prices again

The Ministry of Industry and SMEs announced in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Saturday, March 30 evening, that it was decided to increase the selling prices of certain petroleum products from midnight , based on the periodic adjustment mechanism for fuel prices, in effect since July 2016.

The ministry explains its decision by the continued rise in prices of oil and its derivatives in global markets, exceeding the threshold of $ 68 per barrel in the last period of this year.

For this purpose, the new prices are fixed as follows :

– Unleaded petrol at 2.065 dinars per liter (+0,080 dinar)

– Sulphur free Gasoil 1.825 dinars per liter (+0,080 dinar)

– Normal gas oil at 1.570 per liter (+0,090 dinar)

The last increase in fuel prices at the pump was decided on September 1, 2018.
