Investments related to projects whose cost exceeds 5 MD grew 43.7% from 506.7 MTD during the first five months of 2015 to 727.9 MTD during the same period of 2016, said the latest figures from the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).
The number of projects increased from 48 to 60 during the first five months 2016. These projects will generate 5,229 job positions, against 2,744 job positions during the first five months in 2015, up 90.6%.
It should be noted that projects of 5 MTD which account for only 3.5% of the number of reported projects and 20.8% of the number of jobs, total 50.9% of all reported investments.
