The total turnover of “Carthage Cement” Company at June 30, 2014 amounted to 101,836 MTD excluding VAT, up 419% compared to the same period of 2013.
For the aggregates business, sales were down -28% compared to the first half of 2013 impacted by the absence of infrastructure public works contracts.
The Ready-Mix activity continues, however, strong growth pace with sales increasing 25% over the first six months of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013, and this following the efforts to gain market share market and better positioning of Carthage Cement’s concrete on the market.
Sales of clinker in the first half totaled 19.262 MTD and sales of cement amounted to 64,060 MTD, including 16,838 at export.
