SERGAZ was recently awarded “ISO 14001” certification on the overall range of action of the pipeline transportation system “Transtunisian” (management, monitoring and maintenance of facilities).
This international certificate proves the compliance of its environmental management system with the requirements of ISO 14001.
SERGAZ, the result of a Tunisian-Italian partnership, is a service company working on behalf of the SOTUGAT (Tunisian Pipeline Transit Company).
It is responsible for the maintenance of the pipeline linking Algeria to Italy via Tunisia through which more than 20 billion m3 Algerian gas transit per year.
This international recognition for SERGAZ is motivated, according to the Ministry of Industry, by SERGAZ efforts, in terms of optimization of energy and natural resources and adoption of advanced technologies prompting mitigation of the environmental impacts that may arise due to the company’s activities.
