Tunisia: SMEs created in 2016 exempted from corporation tax

Under the 2016 Finance Act, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) established in 2016, individual companies and companies engaged in processing activities and whose annual gross sales not exceeding 600,000 dinars will be exempted from the corporation tax for a period of 5 years. The objective is to encourage the creation and installation of SMEs in Tunisia.

This same advantage is granted to non-commercial service companies and activities created in 2016 by unemployed university graduates or holders of higher technical diplomas and whose annual turnover does not exceed 300,000 dinars, “La Presse” newspaper reported on Monday, January 4, 2015.
