Tunisia: STIP announces a net profit of 12 million dinars in the first half

The Tunisian Company of Pneumatic Industries (STIP) has published its interim financial statements closed June 30, 2021.

These statements show a half-year net profit of 12 million dinars, against a net loss of 209 thousand dinars at the end of June 2020.

This performance is mainly the result of the sharp increase in the company’s revenues, which amounted to 55 million dinars at the end of last June, compared to 24.6 million a year earlier, recording a growth of about 124%.

These revenues come from local sales for 47.2 million dinars (+130%) and export sales for 7.8 million dinars (+92%).

Operating expenses reached 46.5 million dinars, against 24.6 million dinars at the end of June 2020, an increase of 90%. This surge in expenses is due particularly to the increase in purchases of supplies consumed by 89% to reach 38 million dinars, against 20 million last year.

As a result, the operating result of the STIP comes out in surplus of 9.2 million dinars in the first half of the current year, against 203 thousand dinars a year earlier.
