Syphax Airlines has just acquired a new aircraft type Airbus A330, said the Tunisian private airline in a statement.
The aircraft will come into operation in April 2013 by the arrival of the new A330 aircraft to serve long-haul destinations. A second unit of the same type is planned for early 2014 to serve new destinations planned.
This new plane has a capacity of 278 seats, 28 in business class and 250 in economy class. It is intended for long-haul transatlantic flights.
Its length nears 60 meters and its height is 17 meters, with a wingspan of about 60 meters.
This Airbus A330 would allow the company to launch, initially, two new flights to China and Canada in the summer of 2013.
In a second step, this aircraft will serve Brazil, the USA or South Africa.
