Tunisia: Telnet partner with “Tunisie Telecom” to launch video conferencing solutions

Telnet Holding said it has obtained the “Polycom Platinum” certification and signed a strategic partnership with Tunisia Telecom to launch video conferencing solutions Polycom’s “RealPresence” on the market.

The choice of Polycom by Tunisie Telecom is justified by the positioning of Polycom as the leader in the global market for video conferencing, “RealPresence” and unified communications with a market share of 33% as published in the latest report of August 21, 2012 by specialized global firm “Forrester Research Inc.” and also confirmed September 5, 2012 by comparative studies of specialized international firms “International Data Corporation (IDC),” Synergy Research Group “and “Wainhouse Research. ”

Data BOX, FVC partner in Tunisia since 1998, obtained “Polycom Gold” certification in 2011 and has been certified “Polycom Platinum” partner in July 2012, thus making Data BOX the first partner in Africa to have this prestigious certification from manufacturer Polycom.

Through this agreement, the TELNET HOLDING Group continues to provide Tunisie Telecom and Tunisia’s market know-how and expertise on the latest products and innovative solutions of Polycom in HD video conferencing “RealPresence” and unified communications, allowing it to maintain its leading position in the Tunisian market.

The Director General of FVC stated that the partnership between Polycom and TELNET HOLDING Group dates back to more than 15 years and the agreement signed September 7, 2012 between FVC and Data BOX on the one hand and Tunisie Telecom on the other hand is the first such agreement to be signed with a telecommunications operator in North Africa.

This confirms the Polycom strategy of establishing partnerships with leading operators in their market.

FVC and Data BOX collaborate on the development of the market of video conferencing and unified communications in Africa through major projects on behalf of clients and traders such as the prestigious African Development Bank (AFDB).

Following the signing of this agreement with Tunisia Telecom, FVC is committed to strengthening the collaboration with the TELNET HOLDING to implement innovative solutions based on Polycom products and their strategic partners, such as Microsoft.
