Tunisia: tenders on 4G services to be launched in three weeks (Minister)

Minister of Communication Technology and Digital Economy Noomen Fehri said the department will launch tenders on the 4G mobile services in three weeks.

Speaking on the sidelines of his participation, Saturday in Hammamet, in the regional celebration of the World Post Day, Fehri told reporters these services will be available in Tunisia starting from summer 2015.

“4G services will put an end to the problems recorded in the use of the 3G due to congestion or also interruption of connection and low speed,” he stressed.

“Tunisie Telecom” (TT) has already begun testing these services with a capacity of 150 megabits per second on three sites including Hammamet.
