According to the latest figures of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), Tunisia’s foreign exchange reserves stood at TND 23.182 billion on June 11, 2024, equivalent to 107 days of imports.
On the same date, cumulative tourism receipts amounted to more than TND 2.143 billion, and workers’ remittances stood at TND 2,754.6 million.
And without the BCT saying why or how, one day later, on June 12, 2024, Tunisia’s foreign reserves rose to TND 23.453 billion, equivalent to 108 days of imports, an increase of 271 million dinars in a single day!
