Tunisia: tourism revenues rise by 83% in 2022

Cumulative tourism revenues posted an increase of 83% in 2022, compared to 2021, to 4.2 billion dinars, according to the daily monetary and financial indicators, published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

Similarly, the cumulative labor income exceeded 8.4 billion dinars in 2022, against 7.5 billion dinars in 2021, which represents a 12% growth.

On the other hand, the accumulated foreign debt servicing went from 10.4 billion dinars in 2021 to nearly 9 billion dinars, at the end of December 2022.

As for net foreign exchange reserves, they amounted to 22.8 billion dinars, or 101 days of import, as of January 3, 2023, against 23.2 billion dinars (133 days of import), at the same date last year.
