The city of Gafsa on Tuesday, October 28, welcomed a European tourist delegation of 160 visitors, the first of its kind in more than fourteen years.
This visit is part of a program launched by the Ministry of Tourism to revive tourism activity in the region, which has already hosted several promotional events in recent months.
In a statement to the media, Abdelbasset Nafti, head of the regional tourism authority in Gafsa, explained that the ministry had recently issued a circular to all its regional offices, encouraging tourist trips to Gafsa, which is considered a promising destination combining cultural, agricultural, and alternative tourism.
