Tunisia: trade balance of fishery products posts surplus of TND 272.8 million at end August

The trade balance of fishery products posted a surplus of 272.8 million dinars, at the end of August 2022, against 192.2 MD during the same period of 2021, up 18.5%, according to the monthly newsletter of the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI).

The revenue from exports of fisheries products have reached 496.5 million dinars at the end of August 2022, against 368.7 million dinars during the same period last year, recording a growth of 34.7%.

The quantities exported also went up 25.1% compared to the year 2021, reaching 22.9 thousand tons against 18.3 thousand tons in 2021.

Regarding imports of fishery products, their value soared 52.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching 268, 7 million dinars, said ONAGRI.
