The stock market’s recovery from the previous session did not last long. The benchmark index fell again on Thursday, dropping 0.2% to 8,362.9 points on modest volume of TND 1.6 million, according to stock market broker Tunisie Valeurs.
The Best Lease share was the biggest gainer of the session. Shares in Tunisia’s only Islamic leasing company rose 2.6% to TND 2.350 in off-exchange trading.
Euro-Cycles shares were among the biggest gainers of the session. The bicycle manufacturer’s share price rose by 2.3% to TND 12.990. The stock traded for TND 86,000 during the session.
BTE shares were the session’s worst performer. The former development bank’s shares lost 4.3 percent to TND 4.030 without attracting any flows.
In the banking sector, UIB shares were the worst performers during the session. The shares of the Société Générale Group subsidiary fell by 3.5% to TND 24.500. The stock mobilized a low flow of TND 32,000 during the session.
SFBT shares woke up after a long period at half-mast. The brewery’s share price rose by 0.9% to TND 11.400, feeding the market with TND 264,000 of capital, the highest volume on the stock market.
